Finally, the CakePHP core team has announced the sudden availability of CakePHP 2.6.3, which is the bugfix release for the 2.6 release branch. The company told that it made a list of the changes that you were expecting from it.

Let's have a look on the features or changes that the company has made:
  • Now, the postgres driver can easily convert text fields into integer fields through schemaShell.
  • Through CakeResponse, files in their name can be easily downloaded.

  • While extracting messages through I18nShell, LC_TIME messages are ignored. Earlier, incompatible po files were extracted for LC_TIME messages.

  • In CakeEmail, fence post errors were also fixed at the time of sending messages with lines equal to 999 bytes.

  • Words with WWW in the middle are no longer autolinked by TextHelper.

  • The limit as well as maxLimit settings for PaginatorComponenet are now independent.

  • Now, PaginatorComponent can easily handle order conditions like Model::find() does.

  • Class names in Scaffold errors are not accurate.

  • For decimal fields, Maxlength attributes are no longer generated by FormHelper. Maxlenght was rectified in 2.6.2; however, the fix added in 2.6.2 made it impossible to use the full-length of decimal columns.

  • Whitelist from Model is no longer empty in afterSave.
